    The BioShock Infinite debut trailer won Trailer of the Year at GameTrailers.com.  I was responsible for all the sound design, mix, and mastering.  Watch it on the Portfolio page of this site, or on GameTrailers.com.

    The Escapist covered the BioShock Infinite demo at E3 2011.  They had this to say about the sound of the Songbird, a character I concepted, designed, and implemented all the sound for:

    The demo began with Booker and Elizabeth poking around an old notions store in Emporia, which was filled with tourist trap-style junk. Songbird is after them, and the pair have to take cover as he looks through the window, letting out a god-awful shriek. The sound that thing makes might be the most terrifying noise ever featured in a videogame. Remember the first time you saw Jurassic Park and heard the T-Rex bellow? It's that kind of bone-rattling terrifying of a noise.

    Kotaku covered my lecture at the 2008 Game Developer's Conference in San Francisco:

    Critics weren't shy with praising Bioshock or putting it on countless top 10 lists. But if there was one element that enough could not be said about, it was the audio. The dark, eerie sound design pulled us into a game that could have been just another scary FPS.

    At GDC, Patrick Balthrop, Senior Sound Designer at 2K, explains what they did to make BioShock's sound just so haunting.

    Patrick Balthrop, 2K's senior sound designer for BioShock, presented the game's audio post-mortem. He addressed the specifics of how the team crafted BioShock's soundscape, which was just as important to its atmosphere as its visuals
